Cloud & Security Engineer – Private Cloud & Cybersecurity

About the role

Kaldera Ltd is looking for a motivated Cloud & Security Engineer to join its technical team. You will be responsible for deploying, administering, monitoring, and supporting the company’s private cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support Kaldera’s private cloud platforms built on VMware and Proxmox.
• Deploy and maintain customer IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Administer virtualization, storage, backup, replication, and disaster‑recovery systems.
• Monitor performance, availability, capacity and security of the infrastructure.
• Implement cybersecurity solutions and follow security best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 and Level 3 technical incidents.
• Support cloud migration and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Produce technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with NOC, Core Network, Datacenter and Managed Services teams.
• Assist with routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, wireless networks and SD‑WAN when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, cybersecurity or datacenter operations.
• Strong experience with VMware vSphere and/or Proxmox VE.
• Good knowledge of IP networking, VLANs, routing, switching and security technologies.
• Experience with Fortinet or equivalent security platforms.
• Hands‑on experience administering Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Background in Datacenter, ISP, MSP, Telecommunications or Managed Services is highly desirable.
