Mechanical Engineer – Design, Development & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our production team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining mechanical devices, machines and systems that support our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems, such as engines, machines and tools, using computer‑aided design (CAD) software.
• Conduct research, analyse data and create new designs or improve existing ones.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers and other professionals to integrate mechanical systems with other components.
• Develop and test prototypes to ensure they meet specifications and performance requirements.
• Manage projects, coordinate with cross‑functional teams and ensure timely, on‑budget delivery.
• Perform quality control checks and oversee manufacturing and assembly of mechanical parts.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot field issues and conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used and labor costs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant courses from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role.
• Strong technical aptitude, attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to follow company quality and health‑safety management systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer‑aided design (CAD) software.
