Operations Specialist

About the role

The Operations Specialist will own the end‑to‑end Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order process, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery. You will work closely with requestors, spot buyers and internal stakeholders to drive efficient procurement operations.

Key responsibilities

• Convert Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs) while performing quality checks for compliance and SLA adherence.
• Educate PR requestors on creating accurate, high‑quality requisitions.
• Assign qualified PRs to Spot Buyers or PO Creation Specialists according to service level agreements.
• Leverage contracts and catalogues to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and reduce retroactive purchases to strengthen compliance.
• Process PO modifications, support tickets and emergency queries within defined turnaround times.
• Analyse Supplier Portal and tracking reports to monitor PO status, overdue deliveries and supplier confirmations.
• Execute Goods Receipt processing accurately and on schedule.
• Resolve invoice queries related to POs and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct report analysis, delivery tracking and overdue control monitoring to support operational performance.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives within procurement operations.
• Prepare compliance reports to ensure adherence to company policies and procurement controls.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in management, procurement or a related field.
• Analytical mindset with strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently on own initiatives.
• Disciplined, trustworthy and able to prioritize workload with a sense of urgency.
• Enthusiastic, hardworking and proactive in problem‑solving.
