Project Development Manager

About the role

Cap Tamarin is seeking a senior Project Development Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of real‑estate development projects. The role sits at the intersection of vision, planning, design, approvals, cost control, marketing and sales, acting as the client’s representative throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment of design, cost, approvals and profitability.
• Challenge architects, engineers, quantity surveyors and contractors to produce buildable, sellable and compliant solutions.
• Support feasibility studies, development briefs, budgets, programmes and business cases.
• Manage local approval processes with relevant authorities and ensure timely documentation.
• Work closely with marketing and sales teams to match the product to market demand.
• Identify risks early and propose creative, commercially sound solutions.

Required profile

• Strategic thinker who constantly asks how to improve, build, sell, approve and profit from projects.
• Strong technical and analytical mindset with solid mathematical and commercial understanding.
• Ability to read and challenge drawings, budgets and programmes.
• Good knowledge of Mauritian planning, construction and approval processes.
• Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High sense of ownership, accountability and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
