Stewarding Supervisor

About the role

The Stewarding Supervisor oversees the entire stewarding operation at Constance Le Chaland, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and efficient service across all food‑and‑beverage areas. The role requires strong leadership, meticulous organization, and a commitment to maintaining high hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control daily stewarding activities, including scheduling, record‑keeping, and reporting.
• Conduct briefings and supervise staff when the Chief Steward or Assistant is absent.
• Monitor staff grooming, discipline, and behavior, and assign duties accordingly.
• Implement and follow cleaning schedules for storage, preparation, and service areas, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Manage equipment storage, minimize loss and breakage, and maintain proper inventory of chinaware, glassware, silverware, and other supplies.
• Coordinate function set‑up and clear‑up with outlet supervisors, prepare requisitions, and verify inventory before and after events.
• Check chemical consumption, report issues, and liaise with the engineering department for technical requirements.
• Enforce house rules, establish working hours, and support employee training and relations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a luxury resort.
• Middle or secondary education with relevant training or certificates; a food‑handler certificate is mandatory.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
