Waiter/Waitress – Luxury Resort Service

About the role

Join the hospitality team at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on Mauritius' pristine south‑eastern coast. As a Waiter/Waitress you will deliver refined service to guests in a calm, ocean‑view setting while supporting smooth restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a clean mise en place, including sending silverware for polishing.
• Carry food and beverages from kitchen/bar to the service area and serve guests according to standards.
• Collect soiled dishes, dispatch them to the dish‑washing area, and keep the outlet and back‑of‑house areas tidy.
• Set up buffet displays, tables, and service stations; assist the Chef de Rang and hostess as needed.
• Know the menu, chef’s specials, buffet items, and beverage list by heart and answer guest queries.
• Report any complaints or suggestions to the Outlet Manager.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education; hospitality training or certificates are a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hotel or luxury resort food‑and‑beverage role.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and work well within a team.
• Strong listening and communication skills; fluency in English (additional language a plus).
