About the role
The Assistant Accountant will support the Fund Services team by handling day‑to‑day accounting and client‑facing tasks for private equity and real‑estate funds. You will act as a primary contact for investors, process transactions, and ensure accurate fund reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for investors, handling information requests, account maintenance, and website assistance.
- Process subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and related cash movements.
- Review due‑diligence documents and coordinate AML/KYC checks.
- Collaborate with Treasury to confirm cash activity and prepare investor confirmations.
- Maintain electronic and hard‑copy client files, and archive as needed.
- Prepare capital call and distribution notices for investors.
- Execute general‑ledger entries for investor‑level, fund‑level, and investment‑level transactions.
- Handle daily cash activity, wire transfers, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist external auditors during year‑end audits and respond to ad‑hoc client queries.
Required profile
- Studying towards or holding a college degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar accounting or fund‑administration role.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and problem‑solving abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Advanced Excel expertise.
