Associate Director, People Team

About the role

The Associate Director, People Team will lead the HR Shared Services function in Mauritius, delivering high‑quality HR services to the local business and the wider Group. This senior position partners with business leaders to drive operational excellence, improve employee experience, and support the Global People Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with directors and managers to understand People needs and ensure continuous engagement.
• Manage the full employee life‑cycle – pre‑onboarding, onboarding, off‑boarding, transfers, promotions, resignations and terminations.
• Maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and monitor HR Shared Services performance metrics.
• Conduct structured exit interviews and use feedback to improve HR practices.
• Oversee work‑pass administration, compliance with Mauritian labour law, and updates to HR policies.
• Ensure data accuracy in the Global People system and serve as the primary source of HR information.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Mauritius People Team, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
• Provide HR insights and metrics to senior leadership for informed decision‑making.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and manage employee relations issues fairly and compliantly.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading HR Shared Services or People Operations in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Mauritian labour legislation and global HR best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Leadership experience with a track record of developing high‑performing HR teams.
