Associate Tax Consultant

About the role

The Associate Tax Consultant will support the tax team in delivering accurate tax compliance and advisory services across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with senior consultants and client service units to ensure timely filing and effective communication with tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare tax, PAYE, TDS, CSG and VAT computations and returns.
• Coordinate internal teams to ensure quarterly and annual tax filings are submitted on time.
• Monitor client tax compliance, produce KPI reports and maintain taxation processes.
• Assist with internal training sessions and preparation of tax technical papers.
• Maintain a database of MRA rulings, domestic tax cases and relevant international tax rulings.
• Respond to queries from tax authorities, liaise with clients and draft reply letters.
• Conduct research on domestic and international tax issues and analyse legislative changes.
• Support health‑check and compliance reviews, and prepare tax analysis reports for Mauritian tax matters.

Required profile

• 0‑2 years of experience in the global business sector, preferably with exposure to various vehicle structures.
• Degree holder or a candidate who has substantially completed ACA or ACCA qualification; fresh graduates with strong academic records are welcome.
• Strong interest in taxation and basic understanding of Mauritian tax legislation.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
