Audit Supervisor – Lead Audit Engagements

About the role

ATWELL is seeking an Audit Supervisor to join its Port Louis office. This full‑time, on‑site position will lead audit assignments from planning through completion, ensuring high‑quality deliverables for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee audit engagements, including risk assessment, execution of audit procedures and review of working papers.
• Prepare and review audit evidence, financial statements and audit reports in line with professional standards and firm methodology.
• Supervise junior team members, provide technical guidance and coordinate with clients to gather information and discuss findings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and support training initiatives.
• Maintain strong client relationships and address issues promptly.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in accounting and finance with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations.
• Professional qualification (ACCA/ACA) or a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience supervising audit engagements and managing audit teams in a public accounting or audit firm.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting confidently with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• High level of integrity, professional judgment and commitment to quality and continuous learning.
