Entertainment Technician

About the role

The Entertainment Technician supports the preparation and setup of lighting, audiovisual, and power‑distribution equipment for events at Constance Belle Mare Plage, a luxury resort in Mauritius. The role requires an energetic, flexible, and motivated individual with experience in lighting and AV fields, capable of taking initiative and delivering high‑quality guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain audio, lighting, video and projection equipment, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Program and operate digital light boards, moving‑light fixtures and sound reinforcement systems for live entertainment.
• Ensure proper cabling, wiring and electrical safety for all technical installations.
• Provide guest service during events, act as DJ on event nights, and install music equipment for bar and venue shows.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area, adhering to health‑and‑safety guidelines.
• Work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar technical role within a luxury resort or hospitality environment.
• Pleasant, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in active, inclement weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
