Head Waiter – Luxury Resort

About the role

Constance Prince Maurice, a 5‑star resort on Mauritius, is looking for an experienced Chef de Rang to lead its restaurant service team. You will ensure that every guest enjoys a flawless fine‑dining experience while upholding the resort’s high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of restaurant service, maintaining quality and guest satisfaction.
• Lead, train and motivate a team of waiters and support staff.
• Manage guest relations, promptly addressing queries and resolving issues.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.
• Implement and monitor strict food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a high‑end restaurant or luxury hotel.
• Proven supervisory experience in food‑service environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Current food safety and hygiene certifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with restaurant management software.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
