Junior Systems Engineer (Wintel)

About the role

Join the Hosting Team at Rank Interactive in Mauritius and kick‑start your IT career. You will support the Windows‑based infrastructure that powers a global digital gaming business.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot Windows servers.
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Resolve issues in Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, Exchange Online and SharePoint.
• Follow defined procedures to investigate and escalate technical incidents.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset records.
• Learn from senior engineers and develop technical expertise.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of Windows Server and Windows environments.
• Interest in supporting Wintel infrastructure and growing skills over time.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware or Hyper‑V is a plus).
• Awareness of Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 tools.
• Knowledge of Active Directory components (users, groups, DHCP, DNS, GPOs).
• Exposure to storage concepts (SAN/NAS or virtual storage).
• General understanding of IT hardware and infrastructure.
• Awareness of ITIL incident, change and problem management practices.
• Basic ability to use PowerShell or command‑line tools, or willingness to learn.
