About the role
Join the culinary team at Constance Sakoa Boutik, a boutique beachfront hotel in northern Mauritius. As a Kitchen Commis you will work under experienced chefs, assisting in the preparation and cooking of high‑quality dishes while upholding the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation, following food safety, hygiene and allergen protocols.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during service.
- Monitor food storage, manage inventory, and ensure proper rotation of ingredients.
- Support chefs in food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and kitchen efficiency.
Required profile
- Minimum NC3 in Food Production or a comparable qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen role.
- Detail‑oriented and able to follow strict hygiene standards.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
