About the role

Join the SmartFleet team at BIA Group as an Engineering Trainee and support the development of analytics, predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives for industrial equipment. This 3‑to‑6‑month traineeship offers hands‑on experience in data‑driven engineering within a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Mechanical Engineers in identifying performance trends, anomalies, and potential equipment issues using data analysis and AI‑powered diagnostic tools.
• Transform real‑time sensor data into actionable insights to improve machine efficiency, reliability, and uptime.
• Collect and analyse operational data from advanced industrial equipment for performance monitoring and predictive maintenance.
• Prepare reports and documentation that summarize findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline processes and manage project‑related documents.
• Provide timely follow‑ups and status updates for registered machines.
• Perform any other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or current student in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a continuously evolving business environment.
