Property Associate

About the role

As a Property Associate at Friday Retreats, you will manage on‑site operations for a portfolio of short‑term rental properties in Mauritius. The role is field‑based, requiring you to ensure each unit is clean, functional, and ready for guests while coordinating turnover, maintenance, and rapid issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead post‑checkout cleanings, inspect properties for cleanliness, damage, inventory gaps and functionality, and restock essential items.
• Conduct pre‑check‑in walkthroughs, complete digital checklists, photo logs and condition reports, and enforce SOPs.
• Identify and log maintenance issues, coordinate with approved technicians, track unresolved items and validate completed work.
• Respond to urgent on‑site guest issues, coordinate solutions with operations and vendors, and provide support for VIP or owner stays.
• Submit structured field updates via internal systems, maintain communication with the Operations Manager, and proactively surface risks.
• Obtain approval for operational purchases, report expenses promptly, and manage simple expense reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in hospitality, property care, facility management or field operations.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented and accountable.
• Comfortable using Slack, Gmail and Google Sheets, and other internal apps.
• Understanding of basic household systems such as Wi‑Fi, air‑conditioning, appliances and plumbing.
• Flexible availability, including some weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s licence, personal vehicle, smartphone and laptop.
