Purchasing & Imports/Exports Officer

About the role

We are an international jewellery design and manufacturing company based in Mauritius seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Purchasing & Imports/Exports Officer. The role supports our operations team by handling documentation, customs liaison, logistics tracking, procurement, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare export shipping documentation, invoices, and certificates of origin.
• Liaise with customs brokers, the Mauritius Revenue Authority, and port/airport authorities.
• Track shipments, provide regular status updates, and assist in resolving delays or discrepancies.
• Create and maintain accurate purchase orders and communicate with suppliers.
• Ensure all activities comply with trade laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, imports/exports, or related administrative roles.
• Familiarity with import/export processes and customs regulations.
• Background in clearing & forwarding, manufacturing, or trading companies is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
