QA Engineer – Product Backend

About the role

SD Worx is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to ensure the quality of a well‑established, widely used product that has recently merged with a complementary platform. You will work closely with developers, functional analysts and product owners to deliver high‑quality solutions that meet user needs and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Ranorex or Playwright.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate functional requirements into test cases.
• Execute manual and automated tests, including API testing with Postman.
• Identify, document and track bugs, ensuring they are resolved promptly.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies – sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar software testing role.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and systems is a plus.

Required skills

• Test automation frameworks: Selenium, Ranorex, Playwright.
• Version control and CI/CD tools: Git, Azure DevOps.
• API testing tools: Postman.
• SQL and database experience, especially IBM DB2.
• Scripting/programming languages: C#, Java.
• Behaviour‑Driven Development (BDD) tools such as Reqnroll.
• Performance and security testing concepts.
