Steward – Hotel Kitchen Support

About the role

The Steward will ensure the kitchen and back‑of‑house areas remain spotless and hygienic, supporting the food‑and‑beverage teams at Constance Sakoa Boutik. This role is essential for delivering the high standards of cleanliness expected in a luxury beachfront hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery and work areas.
• Operate dishwashing and other cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Store cleaned dishes, glasses and utensils properly.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene in all kitchen and back‑of‑house zones.
• Collect and dispose of waste following hotel hygiene and environmental procedures.
• Assist with cleaning floors, walls, storage areas and designated spaces.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, store them correctly and ensure proper usage.
• Support kitchen and F&B teams with movement of items during service.
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, shortages or hygiene concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow all health, safety, food hygiene and HACCP procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant or kitchen environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety.

• Dishwashing equipment operation.
