About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the day‑to‑day operations of our restaurant at One&Only Le Saint Géran, Mauritius. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will ensure smooth service, maintain standards and act as the restaurant’s representative when the manager is absent.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct daily briefings with the Restaurant Manager and staff to communicate updates and gather feedback.
- Monitor staff grooming and adherence to service standards at all times.
- Prepare employee rosters, oversee restaurant cleanliness and equipment availability.
- Manage reservations, dining room set‑up and special event requests, confirming details with the F&B coordinator.
- Interact with guests during service to capture preferences, handle special requests and record satisfaction feedback.
- Collaborate with the Chef de cuisine and pastry chef to coordinate service flow.
- Handle billing, cash and credit‑card transactions and ensure accurate invoicing.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high service standards.
- Excellent communication skills with guests and team members.
- Proactive attitude, capable of taking initiative when the Restaurant Manager is absent.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts in a luxury resort environment.
