About the role

Northfields International School, a leading independent co‑educational day school in Mauritius, is seeking an enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to join its faculty immediately. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality computer science instruction across primary and secondary programmes, supporting the school’s commitment to holistic development and global citizenship.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess computer science lessons with clear objectives aligned to the Cambridge and IB curricula.
• Design challenging tasks that build on prior attainment and maintain student interest.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual learner needs while maintaining lesson pace and motivation.
• Employ a variety of teaching methods, including questioning techniques, resource selection and study‑skill development.
• Manage classroom time effectively and uphold school policies on discipline, behaviour and homework.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the computer science curriculum, setting targets and success criteria.
• Act as a class tutor, monitoring student progress, well‑being and attendance.
• Encourage active participation and address individual student concerns.
