Director of Sales

About the role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to lead revenue‑driving initiatives across its luxury portfolio. You will shape pricing strategies, nurture key client relationships, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales & Marketing and Revenue Management teams to optimise room rates, pricing, and promotional activities.
• Conduct ongoing market research to track industry trends, competitor actions and customer preferences.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, travel agencies and other key clients, negotiating contracts for long‑term partnerships.
• Design and execute marketing campaigns and promotions that generate leads and increase brand awareness.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Extensive sales experience, preferably in the luxury hospitality segment, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Strong knowledge of market research, sales techniques and revenue management.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and make data‑driven decisions.
• Exceptional customer relationship management skills focused on long‑term partnership building.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events and conferences.
• Fluency in German.
