Full‑Stack Java Developer

About the role

Accenture is seeking experienced Java developers to join its Custom Software Engineering Platform in Mauritius. You will work across the full stack, using Java‑based technologies and agile practices to deliver robust, maintainable solutions while leveraging generative AI tools for code generation, debugging, and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications using the Spring ecosystem.
• Implement RESTful APIs with Spring MVC and ensure seamless integration with databases via Hibernate/JPA.
• Write unit tests (JUnit) and collaborate with QA teams to guarantee code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, provide guidance to junior team members, and follow secure coding standards.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and apply optimisations.
• Document technical designs, specifications, and system architecture.
• Stay current with industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong Java development background with hands‑on experience in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
• Proficiency in building and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience with ORM tools such as Hibernate or JPA.
• Ability to write automated tests using JUnit or similar frameworks.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor junior developers.
