Housekeeping Runner

About the role

Join the housekeeping team at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on Mauritius' unspoilt south‑eastern coast. As a Housekeeping Runner you will ensure guests receive clean linens, towels and amenities promptly, supporting a calm and refined hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clean linen, towels, robes and amenities to guest floors within established time standards.
• Replenish housekeeping pantries according to par stock levels.
• Stock and maintain housekeeping carts with required supplies.
• Collect soiled linen, trash and recycling from service areas and guest floors.
• Coordinate with Laundry to maintain continuous linen availability.
• Assist Room Attendants during high occupancy or peak periods.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests such as extra towels, pillows, toiletries or baby cots.
• Maintain a professional appearance, respect guest privacy and follow Do Not Disturb policies.
• Keep back‑of‑house corridors and storage areas clean and organized.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items or safety hazards immediately.
• Follow chemical handling guidelines, safety data sheets, fire and safety regulations, and attend regular safety training.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education; additional training or certificates in housekeeping is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the hotel industry, preferably in a luxury resort or remote island location.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products is advantageous.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of a second language is a plus.
