Java Technical Architect

About the role

Accenture is seeking an experienced Java Technical Architect to join its Cloud First group in Mauritius. You will lead the design and delivery of high‑performance Java solutions, working closely with cross‑functional teams to drive innovation and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design and develop scalable Java applications using the Spring ecosystem.
• Define database schemas and integrate them with Hibernate/JPA.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs with Spring MVC.
• Write unit tests (JUnit) and ensure code quality through reviews and QA collaboration.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Spring Java developers.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimisations.
• Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Document system architecture, design specifications and user guides.
• Assist in project planning, resource allocation and delivery tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Systems, or a Master’s in a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Technical Architect or senior Java developer.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
