Kitchen Intern

About the role

Join the culinary team at Four Seasons Resort Mauritius as a Kitchen Intern. You will gain hands‑on experience in a luxury hospitality environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff while learning the standards of food preparation, safety and service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting and portioning vegetables, fruits and meats.
• Support plating, presentation and portion control during service periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment and storage areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Store ingredients correctly, monitor stock levels and help receive kitchen supplies.
• Provide additional assistance to the kitchen team during busy periods as directed by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Required profile

• Motivated and enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in hospitality and culinary arts.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow instructions accurately.
• Strong teamwork attitude and willingness to learn from experienced chefs.
