Manager – Global Business Sector (Fund Administration)

About the role

The Manager will lead a team delivering fund administration and middle‑office services for Apex Group’s Global Business Sector. You will be responsible for operational excellence, regulatory compliance and client satisfaction across the lifecycle of closed‑end funds and corporate entities in Mauritius.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team on projects, assignments and required submissions, ensuring timely delivery.
• Manage all operational aspects of unit deliverables, including resource planning and activity coordination.
• Maintain high‑quality service delivery, review work of unit members and monitor timesheets for capacity planning.
• Provide regular operational updates to senior management and identify training needs.
• Apply risk‑minimisation mindset, proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks.
• Ensure compliance with Mauritius Companies Act, Financial Services Act, Code of Corporate Governance, Data Protection Act, Securities Act and other regulations.
• Oversee licensing, regulatory filings and the closing process for closed‑end funds.
• Perform customer due‑diligence (CDD) in line with AML requirements and maintain updated records.
• Attend client meetings, sign off on bank account openings and review board packs and shareholder resolutions.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of experience in the Global Business Sector or an audit firm.
• University degree from a recognized institution and ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong client‑service mindset with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and adapt to changing environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
