Network Support Engineer – Mauritius

About the role

We are looking for a Network Support Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of our network services in Mauritius. The role involves troubleshooting network issues, maintaining equipment, and supporting day‑to‑day network operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑level support for network incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing problems.
• Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance, respond to alerts or outages, and maintain documentation.
• Update tickets with accurate incident details and work with internal IT teams on complex issues.
• Assist with network maintenance, upgrades, and implementation projects.
• Communicate status and resolution timelines to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in network support or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco or comparable networking equipment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Effective troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory is advantageous.
