Restaurant Hostess

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Hostess to join our Four Seasons resort in Mauritius. The host/hostess will be the first point of contact for guests, managing reservations, greeting arrivals and ensuring a smooth dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes guests in a courteous manner, manages reservations, waiting lists and table allocations.
• Escorts guests to their tables, presents menus and coordinates with managers and service staff to optimise table flow.
• Maintains a clean, organised reception and waiting area, and supports other Food & Beverage outlets as needed.
• Handles guest inquiries, requests and concerns promptly, taking ownership of feedback and ensuring satisfaction.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years experience in a 5‑star hotel, resort or reputable stand‑alone restaurant.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with strong English proficiency.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and ability to work hands‑on during busy periods.
• Technical education in Hospitality Management and knowledge of restaurant reservation systems is preferred.
