Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Dayforce is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and optimise scalable cloud infrastructure for its award‑winning Cloud HCM platform. The role blends hands‑on cloud engineering with close collaboration across software, data, and security teams to deliver secure, high‑performance, resilient platforms for large enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Implement scalable, secure, highly‑available cloud infrastructure on AWS or comparable platforms.
• Design Infrastructure‑as‑Code environments using Terraform, CDKTF, or AWS CDK.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and scaling using modern DevOps tooling.
• Integrate containerised applications, micro‑services, and data pipelines into unified delivery processes.
• Design observability frameworks covering logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis, and resilience engineering for infrastructure and deployment issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, building, and optimising cloud infrastructure for mission‑critical enterprise applications.
• Strong background in automating cloud environments and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate across software engineering, data, and security teams.
• Generalist mindset with interest in multiple aspects of DevOps and cloud engineering.
