Senior Tax Consultant

About the role

The Senior Tax Consultant will join Apex Group’s global tax team, providing end‑to‑end tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with internal service units and external tax authorities to ensure accurate filing and proactive tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare PAYE, TDS, CSG and VAT computations and returns for multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate internal teams to meet quarterly and annual filing deadlines.
• Monitor client tax compliance, generate KPI reports and maintain tax process documentation.
• Provide technical tax support to client service units and coach junior staff.
• Maintain a database of MRA rulings, domestic cases and international tax rulings.
• Respond to MRA queries, liaise with tax authorities and attend meetings on behalf of clients.
• Draft applications for tax rulings and written representations to tax authorities.
• Conduct applied research on domestic and international tax issues and implement regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in global business tax, familiar with various vehicle structures.
• Degree holder or substantial progress toward ACA/ACCA qualification.
• Strong interest in taxation with exposure to multiple tax computations.
• In‑depth knowledge of Mauritian tax dispute and resolution processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong control mindset.
