Steward – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Join the housekeeping team at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on Mauritius' pristine south‑eastern coast. As a Steward you will ensure the kitchen and service areas remain spotless, supporting the delivery of a refined hospitality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned work areas, including the kitchen.
• Operate dishwashing and pot‑wash equipment, and store tools in their proper places.
• Clear bins, dispose of waste, and report any breakage or equipment faults promptly.
• Conduct inventory of amenities and supplies, and ensure continuous provision of clean, sanitized equipment and FF&E.
• Adhere to hotel dress code, safety procedures, fire‑alarm protocols, and environmental legislation.
• Promote energy‑efficiency initiatives in line with the Green Globe Policy.

Required profile

• Middle or secondary education; additional training or certificates are a plus.
• Minimum one year of experience in the hotel industry; experience in a top‑luxury resort is advantageous.
• Mandatory food‑handler certification.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of a second language is a plus.
