Executive Chef

About the role

We are seeking an Executive Chef to lead all kitchen operations at Heritage Awali. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality culinary experiences, managing menus, controlling costs and ensuring compliance with health, safety and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in and coordinate training programmes, develop departmental training plans and monitor progress.
• Supervise outlet teams, conduct interviews, recruit staff, perform performance appraisals and drive continuous development.
• Ensure guest dietary requirements are met, manage VIP requests, handle complaints and gather feedback for improvement.
• Plan and oversee daily kitchen activities, maintain equipment, develop seasonal and banquet menus, and uphold culinary quality, taste and presentation standards.
• Prepare and manage annual operating and capital budgets, monitor food and labour costs, and treat each outlet as a profit centre.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and people‑management experience in a hotel or resort kitchen.
• Strong focus on guest satisfaction and ability to respond to special requests.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coach and mentor staff.
• Disciplined approach to health, safety and hygiene compliance.
• Capability to manage budgets, control costs and drive profitability.
