Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead the room cleaning and hygiene team at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on Mauritius' south‑eastern coast. The role ensures high standards of cleanliness, safety and guest satisfaction while supporting staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily room cleaning, equipment maintenance and stock of amenities, chemicals and supplies.
• Rotate staff, monitor punctuality and enforce safety, fire and grooming standards.
• Check work quality, correct mistakes promptly and act as Assistant Executive Housekeeper when needed.
• Promote energy‑saving practices and maintain effective communication with all departments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hotel industry experience, preferably in luxury resorts.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory housekeeping role.
• Secondary education; additional training or certificates in housekeeping is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal); additional language is a plus.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Strong organizational and team‑management abilities.
