About the role
The Lifeguard ensures the safety of guests in the aquatic facilities at One&Only Le Saint Géran, a luxury resort in Mauritius. You will monitor swimming activities, respond to emergencies, and provide excellent guest service.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise swimming activities, enforce pool regulations and water‑safety policies.
- Rescue distressed swimmers, administer first aid, CPR or artificial respiration as needed.
- Inspect pool facilities, equipment and water quality; conduct chlorine residual tests and maintain records.
- Assist with pool cleaning, chemical dosing and safety inspections.
- Provide swimming instruction or assist classes when required.
Required profile
- Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.
- Ability to swim at least 200 meters continuously and maintain physical fitness.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and staff.
