About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an experienced consultant to conduct a Labour Market Assessment (LMA) focused on the hospitality sector in Mauritius and Seychelles. The assignment supports the Kenya‑Mauritius‑Seychelles labour mobility corridor by generating evidence on current and emerging demand for skilled workers, qualification standards, and recruitment practices.
Key responsibilities
- Map current and emerging labour demand in the hospitality and tourism sectors of Mauritius and Seychelles, identifying priority occupations and skill gaps.
- Assess employer requirements including education, certifications, work experience, language competencies and soft skills.
- Analyse recruitment channels, employment conditions and mobility‑related constraints affecting Kenyan workers.
- Develop evidence‑based recommendations for demand‑responsive skills matching, ethical recruitment, worker protection and future labour mobility arrangements.
