Waiter/Waitress – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join the team at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on Mauritius' south‑eastern coast, delivering refined hospitality in a natural, ocean‑view setting. As a Waiter/Waitress you will ensure seamless service for guests in the restaurant and buffet areas.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a clean mise en place, including setting up tables, buffet counters and service stations.
• Carry food and beverages from the kitchen/bar to the service area and serve guests according to established standards.
• Collect soiled dishes, send silverware for polishing, and dispatch items to the dish‑washing area.
• Assist the Chef de Rang, hostess, and outlet manager with guest queries, seating, and any special requests.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the outlet, service stations and back‑of‑house areas.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education; hospitality training or certificates are a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in a hotel or luxury resort environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with cash registers and ordering information systems.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of menu items, chef’s specials, buffet offerings and beverage lists.
