Luxury Butler – Guest Relations

About the role

The Butler is the primary steward of the in‑suite experience for guests, delivering seamless, premium service that is both exceptional and memorable. As a member of the Guest Relations team, the Butler acts as the liaison between guests and all hotel and marine departments, proactively anticipating needs and ensuring every detail exceeds expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and orient Retreat guests, providing comprehensive information on suites, amenities, ship offerings, ports of call, concierge services, and Retreat privileges.
• Serve as the personal point of contact and advocate for each guest, coordinating inter‑departmental communication to guarantee flawless service delivery.
• Conduct taste‑testing and quality screening of all food, beverage, and service items before guest consumption.
• Champion excellence by continuously raising standards for the Retreat program and sharing guest preferences with all relevant teams.
• Maintain the appearance, upkeep, and overall feel of assigned suites, ensuring they meet the highest level of luxury.

Required profile

• Minimum of two years’ guest‑facing service experience in a luxury environment.
• Fluent, clear, and courteous English communication, both spoken and written.
• Well‑groomed, confident appearance with a warm, welcoming demeanor.
• Strong emotional intelligence, resourceful problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Working knowledge of food and beverage service and the ability to speak confidently about menu items.
