About the role
The Apex Group is seeking an experienced Manager to lead the set‑up of new portfolio opportunities for existing and prospective clients in Mauritius. You will ensure compliance with local laws and licensing criteria while delivering high‑quality client service.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the establishment of new client portfolios, ensuring adherence to local regulations and FSC licensing requirements.
- Manage day‑to‑day deliverables, focusing on client turnaround times and quality.
- Collaborate with Client Services Managers (CSMs) and Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) to analyse client requests and determine appropriate licences and authorisations.
- Draft and review proposals, project descriptions and coordinate quoting processes.
- Review client risk ratings and escalate high‑risk issues to senior management.
- Coordinate onboarding activities with KYC, legal, and other internal teams.
- Conduct research and documentation for project work.
- Act as first‑line reviewer for routine and non‑routine tasks.
- Supervise, coach and appraise junior team members.
- Maintain client and sales databases and support KPI reporting.
- Perform additional duties to support the CSM and team as required.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in the Mauritius global business sector, primarily in client‑service roles.
- Strong understanding of tax, regulatory and licensing frameworks affecting financial services in Mauritius.
- University degree and/or professional qualification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proven project and people management skills.
- Highly motivated and results‑driven.
