Payroll Specialist (Fixed‑Term) – Multi‑Jurisdiction

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail‑oriented payroll professional to join a dynamic and expanding global business. You will support and coordinate payroll operations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, compliance and exceptional service for employees and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for in‑house payroll and external vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regional practices.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, taxation, social security and statutory requirements across Mauritius and APAC countries.
• Serve as primary point of contact for employee payroll queries, providing timely support.
• Liaise with Finance and Group Treasury to guarantee accurate payroll accounting and timely payments.
• Partner with HR and Finance to manage payroll data throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Support payroll‑related projects, audits, process improvements and statutory filings.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Studies, HR, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years proven experience in payroll administration or operations, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory compliance across Mauritius/APAC.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with payroll systems and third‑party payroll providers (highly desirable).
