Privacy Engineering Expert

About the role

We are seeking a Privacy Engineering Expert to join our global Privacy Team. You will translate legal and policy requirements into practical technical solutions, supporting Privacy by Design and Default across our systems, applications, and business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical privacy support for strategic and operational activities, turning legal requirements into technical measures.
• Drive Privacy by Design and Default throughout the full lifecycle of processing activities, from project initiation to legacy system remediation.
• Conduct technical analyses for PIAs/DPIAs, reviewing system design, data flows, access models, retention logic, and safeguards.
• Advise engineering, architecture, security, data, AI, and business teams to embed privacy requirements into SDLC/DevSecOps.
• Assess technical and organisational measures such as access control, IAM, encryption, pseudonymisation, anonymisation, logging, retention, deletion, and monitoring.
• Support the DPO in breach management, analysing incidents from a privacy perspective and recommending remediation.
• Review third‑party solutions, cloud services, and off‑the‑shelf software for technical privacy compliance.
• Contribute to privacy engineering standards, control libraries, retention models, default‑setting baselines, and test cases.
