About the role
The Regional Governance Manager will oversee the administration of Ocorian Group entities across Mauritius and the UAE, ensuring compliance with group policies, governance standards, and risk management frameworks. The role supports senior management and contributes to the smooth operation of corporate structures.
Key responsibilities
- Organise and convene board and sub‑committee meetings, prepare notices and ancillary documents, attend meetings and draft minutes.
- Maintain statutory records, minute books, workspaces and databases, ensuring up‑to‑date information is readily available.
- Complete statutory filings in line with local company legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure local boards adopt Group policies.
- Assist with legal entity simplification projects, board rationalisation and post‑merger integration tasks.
- Provide general support for cleansing in‑house repository platforms.
- Collaborate with senior management locally and across the Group on ad‑hoc projects.
- Facilitate best‑practice exchange within the Governance community and drive efficiency improvements.
Required profile
- Professional qualification such as ICSA (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in governance, company secretarial or financial services environments, with strong minute‑writing skills.
- Familiarity with regulated services and ability to multitask in a flexible manner.
Required skills
- Proficient IT skills.
- Experience with NAV, Board Intelligence or SharePoint (training can be provided).
