Services Technical Consultant – General Ledger

About the role

The Services Technical Consultant – General Ledger will lead end‑to‑end implementations of General Ledger solutions, overseeing planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing and full deployment. The role combines project management, client advisory and technical execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and with maximum return on investment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute implementation project plans, monitoring timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with clients to define requirements, design solutions and configure systems.
• Conduct unit and integration testing, provide training and manage full deployment.
• Partner with client project managers and executives throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Advise customers on best practices to maximize value and ROI.
• Guide clients through the optimal sequence of General Ledger feature setup.
• Engage with Controllers, Accountants and Financial Officers to analyse specific GL journal entry needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Accounting with IT, or related field.
• At least 1 year of software implementation experience focused on accounting.
• Basic accounting knowledge or prior experience working in an accounting environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and strong communication skills in both French and English.
• Willingness to work EST night‑shift hours (5 pm – 2 am).

Required skills

• Proficiency in XML, XSLT, CSV and SQL.
• Experience with payroll modules such as Workday, Ultimate, Lawson or ADP.
• Ability to document requirements, issues and outcomes clearly.
