Waiter/Waitress – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join the team at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort on Mauritius' south‑eastern coast, delivering refined hospitality in a natural, ocean‑front setting. As a Waiter/Waitress you will ensure guests receive attentive, high‑quality service in a calm and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a clean mise en place, including setting up tables, buffet displays and service stations.
• Carry food and beverages from the kitchen or bar to the service area professionally and collect soiled dishes for washing.
• Assist the Chef de Rang and hostess, seat guests, and respond to menu‑related queries.
• Send silverware for polishing, manage requisitions from the storeroom, and ensure trays are never empty when moving between kitchen and restaurant.
• Maintain cleanliness in the outlet, service stations and back‑area throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education; additional hospitality training or certificates are a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in a hotel or luxury resort food‑and‑beverage role.
• Fluent in English (additional language is a plus) and able to memorize menu items, specials and beverage lists.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience operating a cash register.
• Proficiency with an ordering information system.
