CAD & BIM Technician – MEP Design

About the role

Arup is seeking an experienced CAD & BIM Technician to join its multidisciplinary MEP team. You will work on local, regional and international projects, collaborating with engineers and project managers to deliver high‑quality technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings and 3D models for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services from concept to detailed design.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and discipline engineers to define deliverable schedules and integrate them into the BIM model.
• Model a range of MEP services, including pipework, ventilation, lighting, power, containment and drainage.
• Coordinate services using Revit and Navisworks, and produce accurate drawing sets.
• Maintain quality standards, communicate design intent through sketches and presentations, and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Relevant experience using drafting and BIM tools in the building services industry.
• Proven ability to develop drawings and models from engineer sketches with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of Revit MEP modeling and drawing production.
