Construction Supervisor – Cost Estimation

About the role

Amentum is seeking a BOSC Construction Supervisor to lead cost estimation for construction and engineering projects supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves preparing accurate labor, equipment, subcontractor, and material cost models and mentoring junior estimators.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze specifications, blueprints, and bills of material to calculate production costs.
• Collect cost data from vendors, subcontractors, and internal representatives.
• Create and maintain historical cost databases and cost models.
• Prepare and revise estimates as project scope changes.
• Support BOE development and ensure timely, compliant submission of estimates.
• Mentor less‑experienced estimators and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Liaise between estimating and other functional departments to guarantee data quality.
• Provide QA/QC support and review manufacturing parts lists for accuracy.
• Interface with government auditors for pre‑award and post‑award price audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of construction or government estimation experience.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, costs, and procedures across various trades.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
