Early Careers Specialist – Talent & University Partnerships

About the role

Checkout.com is looking for an Early Careers Specialist to lead its NextGen brand in Mauritius. You will act as the face of the company on campus, building strong university relationships and creating pipelines of high‑potential talent for the firm’s early‑career programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Checkout.com in the local market and position the brand as the top choice for ambitious students and graduates.
• Design and nurture long‑term partnerships with universities, faculty, and career centres across Mauritius.
• Develop and manage talent pipelines for Early Careers programmes, ensuring diversity and high performance.
• Create recruitment strategies, including assessment centres, to evaluate and attract top talent.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end Early Careers journey from application to programme completion.
• Support hiring managers with tools and training to mentor early‑career employees effectively.
• Collaborate with the global Early Careers team, including the Programme Manager in London.

Required profile

• Proven experience in university recruitment, talent acquisition or early‑career programme management.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with academic stakeholders.
• Ability to design and implement recruitment processes and assessment tools.
• Product‑mindset with a problem‑solving attitude.
• Passion for developing early‑career talent and driving brand awareness.
