Financial Accountant – General Accounting & Reporting

About the role

As a Financial Accountant at AGI, you will be responsible for executing and ensuring the accuracy of general accounting, financial reporting, and treasury operations. You will support month‑end and year‑end closes, contribute to budgeting, and help maintain robust internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and support working‑capital cycles (inventory, AR, AP).
• Assist with CAPEX documentation and ensure cleanliness of accounting records.
• Support statutory financial reporting, including IFRS compliance, month‑end/year‑end closing, and group reporting.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, variance analysis, and executive financial summaries.
• Partner with internal control teams for risk identification, SOP drafting, and audit coordination.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, banking or related field.
• Part‑qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of broad‑based finance experience, including general accounting and reporting.
• Multinational exposure and audit experience are advantageous.
• Strong planning, organisational, and time‑management skills.
