Accountant – Renewable Energy Finance

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting, finance and treasury operations for a renewable‑energy group operating across sub‑Saharan Africa. The role offers full ownership of the payments process, bank reconciliations, treasury administration and support for audit and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, manage end‑to‑end payments, and maintain vendor master data.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, cash‑flow forecasts and monitor funding facilities.
• Record accounting entries, support month‑end and year‑end closings, and perform intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts receivable, customer invoicing and collections.
• Support preparation of management reports, variance analysis and budgeting data.
• Maintain a central contracts register and ensure compliance with internal controls.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Pursuing a recognised professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) with intermediate level completed.
• 1‑2 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably with exposure to AP, bank reconciliations or treasury support.
