Head of Human Resources – Hospitals and Clinics

About the role

The Head of Human Resources will lead the People Strategy for the newly created Hospitals and Clinics cluster of C‑Care International in Mauritius. Reporting to the cluster CEO, the role ensures strategic workforce planning, employee engagement and robust HR governance across all sites.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and implement the Group People strategy within the cluster.
• Lead workforce planning aligned with operational needs and productivity targets.
• Deploy Group learning frameworks, including clinical capability programmes.
• Support internal mobility and develop succession pipelines.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives across the cluster.
• Manage employee relations and union interactions.
• Implement Group Compensation & Benefits frameworks and related policies.
• Ensure data integrity in HR systems and reporting tools.
• Maintain compliance with Group policies, SOPs and local labour laws.
• Lead and develop the Cluster HR shared services team.
• Improve HR processes and build capacity of site HR operations teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in HRM, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10–15 years of HR leadership experience, preferably in complex environments.
• Healthcare experience is an advantage.
• Proven track record in HR governance and labour law compliance.
• Strong workforce planning and HR analytical capabilities.
• Experience managing employee relations and unions.
